Enhance PRTG Maps with Greater Customization and HTML5 Integration
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, I want advanced PRTG Maps with HTML5-based editing and dependency visualization, so that I can create professional-grade infrastructure diagrams that dynamically reflect real-time monitoring status.
The current PRTG Maps feature is powerful for quick visual dashboards, but it becomes challenging to build complex or customized diagrams for large environments. The existing interface is limited when aligning icons, linking elements, or visually representing dependencies between sensors, probes, and devices.
I propose extending the PRTG Maps functionality with:
Full HTML5-based editing and rendering, replacing the legacy map editor to allow smoother design, drag-and-drop alignment, and modern visuals.

Export Library Display Data to CSV from PRTG Desktop
As a Network Engineer using PRTG Desktop for real-time bandwidth monitoring, I want to export the currently displayed library data (sorted by bandwidth or other criteria) to a timestamped CSV file or view expanded data on-screen, so that I can capture instant monitoring snapshots for analysis, reporting, troubleshooting documentation, or sharing with stakeholders without losing the valuable sorted/filtered view I've configured.
So I need either:
1) an "Exoprt" button that take all the displayed value and send them to csv file with timestamp
2) expand the data displayed into the empty scrren I circled in red in the attach file,…3 votes -
Sensor map element with channel selection
As a system administrator, I would like to use my sensors in a PRTG map and select the relevant channel, without having to duplicate the sensor and pin a different channel. Currently, the sensor map element only represents the main channel and does not allow me to select the channel I am most interested in. A new approach would increase flexibility and prevent duplicate sensor requests, which would put more strain on the system.

Dashboard Access for MSP Customers via DMZ
As an MSP, we manage multiple customers using a central PRTG core server, with each customer having their own probe reporting back to our core. For security reasons, we cannot allow customers direct access to our central core server from the internet or their networks.
We need a way to provide customers with read-only dashboard/map access to their own monitoring data without compromising the security of our central infrastructure.
Proposed Solution:
The ability to deploy a separate PRTG application server component with restricted permissions that can be installed in a DMZ or customer-accessible location. This component would:- Connect to the…

Add the ability to display bar graphs using PRTG
As a Systems Engineer, I want the ability to display current sensor values as a bar chart/graph (in addition to the existing time-series line graphs), so that I can quickly and clearly compare live values across multiple channels at a glance, especially when monitoring many similar metrics like disk space across multiple drives, and easily identify which items are approaching warning or error thresholds through color-coded bars.
I understand PRTG's main focus has been on displaying data over time, however I have noted on a few occasions that I would benefit from being able to show live sensor data in…

Multi-Core Dashboards: Better support for metrics and charts
Multi-Core Dashboards is currently focused on displaying status information for sensors, probes and groups in Grafana dashboards. While it is possible to export metrics today, the user experience could be improved:
- Create Grafana library panels with custom metrics
- more performant storage of metrics data

Map-Based Sensor Location Search and Navigation
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, I want to search for sensors and immediately see which map(s) they appear on, so that I can quickly navigate to the relevant monitoring visualization without manually checking multiple maps, especially when troubleshooting issues or assessing the impact of network hierarchy changes.
For example, we might have about fifteen cards with around twenty sensors each. It would be useful to be able to quickly identify, through a search, which map a sensor for a piece of equipment is located on. Today, we need to go through all the maps and all their sensors to identify…

Automatic Network Topology Mapping in PRTG
We would love to see native automatic topology mapping built directly into PRTG, without requiring a third-party integration like UVExplorer.
The idea is simple: after auto-discovery runs, PRTG should be able to automatically generate a visual topology map that reflects the real physical and logical relationships between devices — including layer-2 (switch/port relationships) and layer-3 (routing) connections.
What we're looking for:
A dynamically generated topology map that updates as the network changes
Integration with the existing Maps/Dashboards editor so topology views can be embedded in dashboards
The ability to drill down from the topology map directly into device and sensor…1 vote -
Dynamic Map Filtering with Variable Selectors
As a network administrator building reports and dashboards, I want to create maps with dynamic filtering capabilities using variable selectors (such as region dropdowns), so that I can maintain a single map that displays different subsets of my network infrastructure without having to create and manage multiple copies of the same map for each region or variable combination.

Enhanced Notification Reporting and Filtering Capabilities
As an IT Operations Manager,
I want to generate reports on triggered notifications with customizable date/time filters and view aggregated notification metrics,
so that I can efficiently analyze notification trends, create weekly performance reports for stakeholders, and identify patterns in system alerts without manually scanning through individual log entries. We report weekly on the number of notifications / escalations of notifications we get. Currently there is no way to run a report on notification templates or notification templates > objects. Allow users to run reports on the objects within the notification templates or allow users to filter better in the…

Library-Based Dashboard Components: Bulk Sensor Display from Libraries
As an IT Operations Manager,
I want to use my existing libraries as a data source for dashboard/map components,
so that I can efficiently visualize related sensors from across my entire monitoring infrastructure without having to manually add each sensor individually to my dashboards. We have created many libraries with sensors form all over the hierarchical tree and it would be very useful to present them in dashboards without having to manually add each sensor one by one.

SLA Reporter: Dynamic placeholders in report names
PRTG SLA Reported setting has only fixed placeholder for Report Name under Report Settings. Hence the report name is always fixed irrespective of various schedule report names based on the usage and context. This leads to confusion as which report we get e-mail. Needs to have some dymanic placeholders or mechanism to set the report names either based on Filter / scheduled report names etc.

SLA Reporter: Improve filter creation dialog
When creating a filter in SLA Reporter, the user experience would be better if:
- It showed the number of sensors that were included in the defined filter criteria
- It was possible to select all matched sensors1 vote -
SLA Reporter: Allow combination of AND and OR in filters
Allow mixed AND and OR logic in PRTG SLA Reporter filter criteria, so users can build more flexible and precise SLA definitions.
Problem description:
The current SLA Reporter only supports using either AND or OR for all filter criteria. This limits real‑world use cases where mixed logic is required. For example. Citrix AND (Ping, Uptime). or (Windows AND Prod) AND (Ping, PingSensors).1 vote -
Multi-Core Dashboards: Status history
As a user of the Multi-Core Dashboards feature, I want to be able to see a history of statuses over a custom time period instead of just the current status.
ACs:
* PRTG Data Exporter can be configured to retain statuses for a predefined time period
* The Multi-Core Dashboards feature provides out of the box dashboards which can show the change in status for certain objects over a custom time period3 votes -

Report Templates Based on Sensor Status
As a network administrator/systems engineer, I need a report template based on current sensor status. With this template, I can create an automated daily email report that summarizes the status of all monitored sensors (total counts by status: up, warning, down) and provides detailed information about problematic sensors (device name, sensor name, and error messages). This would allow me to quickly assess the overall health of our infrastructure each morning and confirm that PRTG monitoring is functioning properly.
