  2. As a PRTG system administrator, I want PRTG to have a separate dedicated web server, allowing us to balance the load of user access to PRTG away from the core server.

  3. As a Network Administrator/IT Infrastructure Manager, I want a Network Configuration Manager module integrated within PRTG that can automatically backup, track, and manage network device configurations, so that I can ensure configuration compliance, quickly identify unauthorized changes, maintain configuration history for rollback purposes, and reduce manual configuration management overhead while keeping all network management activities within a single platform.

  4. As an IT Infrastructure Manager,
I want the ability to disable the automatic creation of device groups and notification templates when creating user groups,
So that I can maintain a cleaner organizational structure aligned with my existing Active Directory groups and Exchange distribution lists, without having to repeatedly delete automatically-generated objects that I don't use.

Use case: We mainly use Active Directory groups in PRTG, and the group names always differ from the names of the device groups. The objects are always created on the core server, where we do not create any additional sensors. The templates for notifications are…

  5. It's going in that direction (https://uservoice.paessler.com/forums/966009-administration/suggestions/50790047-self-service-portal-for-prtg-enterprise-monitor-of) but for MSPs.

As an MSP, we provide our customers with PRTG sensor licenses, and some of our customers run their own dedicated PRTG installation. To ensure correct per customer billing and to technically prevent overuse, we need a sub license for each customer instance with a fixed sensor limit and bound to the System ID. Today, we have to contact support every single time and provide the System ID and the required sensor count so a sub license can be created or adjusted. This is unnecessarily slow and cumbersome in daily…

  6. As an MSP, we want to brand the PRTG web interface so that it represents our company towards our customers. As a minimum requirement, we need an officially supported way to customize the login page. Ideally, this supported scope would also allow basic customization of other key UI elements to match our corporate design.

Today, adjustments would be possible by modifying local HTML and CSS files, but this approach is not update safe and will very likely be overwritten by future PRTG updates. We also could not find a current, supported solution in the Knowledge Base. In addition, the comment…

  7. === Summary ===
Many of our PPEM (PRTG Enterprise Monitor) customers operate in offline environments without internet access. In such cases, subscription renewals require offline re-activation, but the current specification provides only a very short grace period. This poses a significant operational burden, especially for MSPs managing multiple PRTG instances.

=== Behavior in Offline Environments During Subscription Renewal ===
    • After the subscription renewal date, offline re-activation is required.
    • This re-activation cannot be performed before the renewal date.
    • Once the previous subscription period ends, a 3-day grace period begins, after which UI access becomes unavailable.
    • Although monitoring…

  8. As a Network Engineer, I need the ability to specify a custom installation directory when installing the SLA Reporter. Currently, the installation process does not provide an option to choose or modify the installation path.

  9. It would facilitate a LOT if was possible to retrieve which Notification Templates are currently configured on our PRTG domain and their respective configuration (Example: If sends email and where, notification method, if its paused, etc).

  10. As a System Integrator/DevOps Engineer, I want a REST API for SLA Reporter that provides programmatic access to key functions (e.g., report generation, SLA configuration), so that I can integrate SLA activities into existing workflows, automate routine tasks, and reduce manual effort.

  11. As a IT administrator, I want SLA Reporter to support OAuth2-based email sending, so that I can securely integrate it with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace without using legacy/basic authentication. Currently, SLA Reporter supports standard email sending, but does not support Modern Authentication (OAuth2).

  12. As a PRTG administrator I am confused that Paessler is still using license keys while the product is subscription based. This seems to be from a time when the product was perpetual. It is unclear if the product will stop working after the expiration of the key and if the user has still access. More visibility into the subscription would be handy or better yet link it to my userid where I can login and see my license status
