Active Directory Nested Group Support for Authentication
As an IT Administrator, I want PRTG to recognize and authenticate users who are members of nested Active Directory groups so that I can maintain our existing AD organizational structure and security policies without having to flatten group hierarchies or create duplicate memberships specifically for PRTG access.

Direct MultiBoard Launch Option for PRTG Desktop Application
As an IT Infrastructure Manager who uses PRTG MultiBoard daily, I want to launch directly into the MultiBoard interface without navigating through the main PRTG Desktop application, so that I can immediately access my centralized monitoring dashboards and eliminate unnecessary steps from my daily workflow.

PRTG API Access to Complete Access Right Management

Support for Encrypted OIDC Authorization Tokens in SSO (Okta or Entra ID) Login
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, I would like to implement SSO integration with OIDC. Our IDP automatically generates an encrypted authorization token.
PRTG does not support encrypted authorization tokens as a login mechanism; it only supports ID tokens (JWT) that are not encrypted.1 vote -
Flexible Primary Group Management for Active Directory Users with Multiple Group Memberships
As a Systems Administrator managing PRTG user access,
I want the ability to change the primary group assignment for Active Directory users who are members of multiple synchronized AD groups in PRTG,

Our AWS environment has many accounts; we need to configure AWS access by assuming roles.
Our AWS environment consists of a landing zone with many accounts. We need to monitor resources across all accounts, but for security reasons we cannot have a user with access keys in each account. We could have a single user in a dedicated monitoring account, but not in all accounts.
To avoid having to use a user in each account, we want to use the assume role process so that, from a central monitoring account, (either via a user or by using the IAM role attached to the EC2 instance where the monitoring tool is deployed) we can assume monitoring…

SSO Prompt Field for Entra ID
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, I want to configure the SSO prompt behavior in PRTG's Entra ID integration (e.g., use cached session vs. show account picker) so that I can control the login experience for my users and support environments where multiple accounts need to be selectable.
SSO with EntraID presently has the prompt field hard-coded into the Authorization URL as prompt=none. But what if the customer would like the account selector to come up, and not used a cached profile. I tried appending the authorization URL with ?prompt=select_account only to get the error stating prompt was duplicated in use.

PRTG support for non-Microsoft LDAP directories
As an IT Infrastructure Manager working in a non-Microsoft environment (e.g., Linux-based or mixed infrastructure), I want PRTG to natively support generic LDAP directories for user authentication and management so that I can centralize user access control without having to manually maintain separate PRTG user accounts.
For now, PRTG offers native integration only with Active Directory. As a result, in a non-AD environment, integration with the existing system remains limited and can generate administrative overhead.4 votes -

Active user management
As a PRTG user I would need an improved way to view and manage logged-in PRTG users. Although there is a script to list logged-in users, this functionality could be directly integrated into the PRTG interface for a smoother user experience. This functionality helps to have a real-time overview of all logged in users, analysis user logins for capacity utilization planning, and identify inactive users.
