Button to fold/unfold devices
As an IT Infrastructure Manager administering PRTG, I want a global 'Collapse All' / 'Expand All' button at the Root level of the device tree, so that I can instantly get a clean, high-level overview of all devices without having to manually collapse each one individually — especially when onboarding new users or verifying permission configurations via a test account.
Whenever i give a user access to our PRTG backend the first time they login they always see all the devices with the sensors unfolded. Sometimes i also have to test myself to see if the permissions to certain devices…

Dynamic Sensor Name Localization Upon System Language Change
As a Systems Engineer, I want PRTG to automatically update all existing sensor names to the newly selected system language when I change the interface language, so that my entire monitoring environment is consistently displayed in one language
When installing PRTG with language A (e.g. German) the user interface and all sensor are in this language. When I change the language afterwards to language B (e.g. English) the user interface will change to language B but the sensor names remain in the original language A. Only newly added sensors will be in language B.

Multi-Language Support for PRTG Desktop Application
As an IT Engineer working in a global or non-English/German-speaking organization,
I want PRTG Desktop to support multiple languages beyond English and German,
So that I and my team members can use the application in our native language.Currently, PRTG Desktop allows users to set the UI language via the Operating System Language option. However, in practice, it only supports English and German.

External Device Image Reference via Cloud Storage (Azure/AWS S3)
As a Systems Engineer, I want to associate a device photo (JPEG/PNG) stored in external cloud storage (Azure Storage Account or AWS S3 Bucket) with each monitored device in PRTG, so that I can quickly visually identify physical network equipment while monitoring, improving troubleshooting efficiency and physical-to-logical correlation without consuming PRTG server storage resources.
Use case: while monitoring a network equipment such as a router or a switch, I can have a photo of the device itself as a reference.

Set the new UI to enforce HSTS and allow to change cipher
These are security relate in reference to the New UI, and since PRTG contains authentication and secure data, it should be secured as any Enterprise software should be.
- In the 25.3.110.x release the New UI enables an application server which by default does not enforce HSTS by default.
https://www.tenable.com/plugins/nessus/142960
https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6797
- When scanning the New UI with Tenable/Nessus found that it is using a weak cipher and as the support case 2787397 notes, there was not a way to change the cipher to a TLS2/3 acceptable suite.

Master Sensor for parent should not be a toggle but a shortcut
The use of the "Master sensor for parent" precludes having a dependency on the ping (sensor) since the option to bind the sensor as the parent's dependency prevents setting a dependency on the sensor.
The same can be implemented on the parent device by selecting the child sensor as the dependency, thus freeing the ping up to be dependent on say, a DNS check.
The master sensor for parent, shouldn't be a toggle or prevent setting a dependency on the sensor, but should be a shortcut/script button, which when clicked, would set the dependency on the parent as the sensor…

MultiBoard: Select multiple sensors in "Details" tab
Good morning Paessler,
We have recently begun using the PRTG App MultiBoard, after we went from one PRTG server to two, since we are approaching 30k sensors. We plan on getting more, so looks like we're on the MultiBoard train for the long run :)
I would love to be able to select several alerts, to acknowledge or pause, like you can in the regular app window or web UI. I also miss the ability to right click the alerts to do stuff, but I can live with using the window on the right, as long as I don't have…

After careful consideration by our team, we've decided to decline this idea at this time. This decision was made since this can be done with our existing web UI (new UI). We will also be building a cloud management layer in 2026 where we will have consolidated alerting in the future.

Hi there,
Thank you again for submitting your idea to Paessler. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
We plan to replace Multiboard with a new offering over the coming 1-2 years, hence we are avoiding enhancements in this product as we look to replace it in the medium term. If you can provide details on your use cases you may be better suited to use the new multi-server dashboarding offering which was released last week that is built on Data Exporter (and Grafana). There will be a larger marketing push of this in October 1st, but it's out now.
