External Password Vault Integration for Secure Credential Management
As an IT Operations Manager or IT Infrastructure Manager,
I want PRTG to integrate with external password vault solutions (such as HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, Azure Key Vault, or AWS Secrets Manager),
so that I can centrally manage, secure, and rotate all monitoring credentials without storing them in PRTG, thereby improving security posture, meeting compliance requirements, and reducing credential management overhead.6 votes -
Omnissa Horizon Connection Server Integration for VDI Monitoring
As an IT administrator, I would very much appreciate the possibility to connect PRTG to an Omnissa Horizon Connection Server (HCS). I want to be able to retrieve all sorts of information: number of users connected, total number of unique users, number of VDI's assigned and unassigned, in short: all information that is accessible on the HCS's administration pages. From security PoV, the interface is solely reachable via HTTPS protocol.

Unique Event Identifier for Notification Templates and API Message Correlation
As an IT Infrastructure Manager integrating PRTG with external monitoring platforms, ticketing systems, or SIEM solutions, I want a unique, persistent event identifier available both in notification templates (as a placeholder like %eventid% or %messageid%) and in the API messages endpoint (/api/table.json?content=messages), so that I can accurately track individual sensor event occurrences through their complete lifecycle (from Down/Warning to Up) across both real-time notifications and API synchronization calls, enabling proper event correlation, historical incident tracking, and automated closure of events in external systems.
Use case described in the comment below.

Ansible collection for PRTG
Provide an official Ansible collection that integrates with PRTG's API v2. This would enable users to automate PRTG configuration management through Ansible playbooks, allowing them to deploy and manage sensors, devices, groups, and settings as part of their existing automation workflows. An Ansible collection would simplify bulk operations, ensure consistent configurations across PRTG instances, and integrate PRTG management into standard IT automation practices.

Terraform Provider for PRTG
Provide an official Terraform provider that integrates with PRTG's API v2. This would enable infrastructure-as-code workflows, allowing users to programmatically manage PRTG sensors, devices, groups, and configurations alongside their other infrastructure resources. A Terraform provider would streamline automation, improve consistency across environments, and make PRTG configuration version-controllable and reproducible.

Automated Data Retention Management for PRTG Data Exporter
As an IT Infrastructure Manager, I want to automatically purge monitoring data older than a specified date range from the PRTG Data Exporter so that I can maintain optimal storage utilization and system performance without manual intervention.
The use case would be if I only need something like the last 30 days of data of a certain Metrics Data Profile. The idea would be that I could change the Start date for example from October 1st to October 4th, and the data from October 1st-3rd automatically gets deleted from the database, saving space on the Data Exporter server.

PRTG MCP (Model Context Protocol) Server for AI-Powered Workflows and Incident Management
As an IT Operations Manager or Systems Engineer,
I want to integrate AI capabilities with my PRTG monitoring system via an MCP server,
so that I can automate incident analysis, get intelligent insights from monitoring data, create custom AI-powered workflows, and manage incidents through natural language interactions, ultimately reducing response times and improving operational efficiency. Please vote for this idea if you'd like to be in the early access and design for our MCP which is currently in the lab.
This is more of a building block for those wishing to integrate their own LLMs to PRTG. Use cases include
