As a PRTG Network Administrator responsible for maintaining critical IT monitoring, I need PRTG to support OAuth 2.0 authentication for SMTP email notifications, so that we can continue receiving critical monitoring alerts after Microsoft retires Basic Authentication for SMTP AUTH in Exchange Online.

    Business Impact:
    Microsoft has announced the permanent removal of Basic Authentication for Client Submission (SMTP AUTH) in Exchange Online, with the retirement process beginning March 1, 2026, and completing by April 30, 2026.     Microsoft does not support Deamon OAuth processes and instead proposes to switch to a "mass email" Integration instead. The 2 proposed Solutions are mentioned in the KB Article (https://helpdesk.paessler.com/en/support/solutions/articles/76000045334-can-i-use-microsoft-office-365-as-smtp-relay-server-for-prtg-email-delivery#reply-316325).

  2. We use different notification templates to send email and pager alerts. I would like to create a schedule for the notication templates so that we would only receive pager alerts outside of business hours. The schedule would enable or disable the notification template based on the schedule applied to it.
