Enhanced Redfish System Health Sensor for HPE iLO
As a Systems Engineer managing HPE ProLiant servers,
I want the PRTG Redfish System Health sensor to provide the same level of hardware detail as the SNMP HPE ProLiant System Health sensor — including individual fan status/speeds, per-component thermal readings, and power supply health —
so that I can fully transition from SNMP to Redfish monitoring without losing visibility into critical server hardware health, as HPE will no longer fix SNMP issues on iLO.
Background:
HPE has announced that SNMP Problems for iLO Get Sensors which are buggy will not be fixed at this time. HPE said we should use Redfish Sensors. The Redfish Sensor in PRTG is not so detailed like the iLO SNMP Sensor. Thermal and Fan Stati are missing, for example. Is it possibile to improve the Redfish System Health Sensor for HP ILO?
Hi there,
Great news! Your idea has been reviewed and is now officially on our roadmap! This means we've committed to developing it in the future.
While we don't have an exact release date yet, we're planning to implement this feature/improvement as part of our upcoming development cycles. We're excited about the value this will bring to our users.
We appreciate your patience as we work to bring this to fruition. We'll let you know once it moves into active development.
Thanks for helping us build a better Paessler!
Best regards,
The Paessler Product Team

Hi,
this is a very nice idea and would help us to mirgrate more sensors to the Multi-Platform probe. Most likely we will enhance our offering with two more sensors (Temperature and Fan State). The power supply topic is covered in the existing sensors already.
Thank you for your feedback.
