VEEAM 13 Backupjob Status Sensor
With the integration of VEEAM version 13, it is no longer possible to use the existing “backup job status sensors,” and you have to go to the trouble of building your own custom sensors to interact with PowerShell 7, which is only partially supported by PRTG. Native VEEAM sensors would be desirable here again.

Hello!
The current Veeam Backup sensors still require and use Veeam Enterprise Manager (and require portal administrator role...).
Is there any plan to improve those sensors to use/connect directly to the Veeam B&R server instead as V13 provide API endpoint?
This will provide Veeam Backup job monitoring to customers who don't have any Enterprise Manager Console license and for a security improvement, will not require an admin user for this monitoring purpose.

Good day,
Is there a planned release date for the Veeam Backup sensors for version 13?
Alternatively, is there a recommended workaround until the new sensor for V13 becomes available?
Kind regards,

Hi Dennis,
We are working on a fix for the Veeam Sensor issue and it should be available soon; please keep an eye on our release notes: https://www.paessler.com/prtg/history/stable
With the Veeam Backup Job Status Sensor that supports Veeam 13, you will not need a workaround that requires PowerShell 7.
I agree that it would be great to have PowerShell 7 for PRTG custom sensors, however, we still cannot share any concrete plans regarding it.
Best regards

Great News,
the question is:
what is in progresse?
Bringing back the old sensors or the native support of powershell7?
Both will be great.
