Ability to Disable “Pause Indefinitely” for All Users/Administrators
As an IT Manager, I want the ability to disable or restrict the "Pause Indefinitely" option for specific user groups or across the entire PRTG system
Currently, users and administrators have the option to “Pause indefinitely” for sensors, devices, or groups. In our environment, this poses a risk, as paused objects can easily be forgotten and monitoring gaps may occur.
I have not been able to find any built-in feature in PRTG that would allow us to disable or restrict the “Pause indefinitely” option globally or on a per-role basis.
Requested Feature:
Please add the ability to disable or hide the “Pause indefinitely” option for selected user groups, roles, or ideally for the entire system. Only time-limited pauses should remain available.
Use Case / Reasoning:
- Prevent accidental or unnoticed long-term pauses
- Enforce internal monitoring policies
- Improve compliance and operational safety
- Ensure all monitoring outages are time-bound and intentional
This enhancement would greatly improve control and reduce the risk of missing important alerts.
