Notify Only When N Sensors Fail Within X Minutes
As an operator of an umbrella monitoring system (which receives notifications from PRTG), I would like PRTG to only send a notification when a predefined amount of same sensors status changes happens in a predefined timeslot. E.g., there are ten of same sensor status changes of same sensortype of different devices in 10 mins which then results in one notification and not ten (for each sensor one notification). This could be useful in a library which holds a large number of same sensors which should not trigger a notification by its own, only if same event happens multiple times.

After careful consideration by our team, we've decided to decline this idea at this time. This decision was made based on several factors, which may include:
- It doesn't align with our current product roadmap or strategic priorities.
- The resources required for implementation outweigh the current projected benefits for our user base.
- There are technical limitations that prevent us from moving forward.
- A similar feature is already available or planned in a different way.
Alternatively, you might want to use some of the following options:
- Notification summarization: Configure your notification template to collect notifications over a defined time span and send them as one summarized message instead of many.
- Business Process sensor: Combine multiple source sensors into one logical sensor that only goes Down once a defined percentage of them fail — and attach your notification trigger there.
- HTTP notifications: Forward each status change to your umbrella system via HTTP action and handle the "N events in X minutes" correlation logic on the receiving side.
