Audio Output Device Selection for PRTG Desktop Alarm Sounds
As a Systems Engineer, I want to select which audio output device plays alarm sounds in PRTG Desktop so that I can ensure I always hear critical alerts, even when I'm not wearing my headset, by routing the sound to my desktop speakers instead.
Backgound:
I'm missing an option for PRTG Desktop to select the audio device which is playing the alarm sound. We usually have headsets connected but we are not wearing them all the time. So if an alarm sound is set, and there is an alarm, we won't hear it on the headset when we are not wearing it in that moment.

After careful consideration and research among our broad customer base, we've found that the ability to select a specific audio output device for PRTG Desktop alarm sounds is not a widely needed feature. Since very few users have expressed this need, we've decided not to prioritize it at this time.
We understand this may be disappointing, and we encourage you to continue sharing your ideas — your feedback helps us shape PRTG for the future.
